Johnson Drehtechnik GmbH stands for constant development through constant optimization of production processes with the help of innovative ideas from very well-trained employees. Originating from a former VEB company, the company now presents itself as a reliable and long-standing partner for its customers from various industries, primarily fluid technology. With investments in modern CNC technologies and sustainable training and development initiatives, the transformation from a small contract turning shop to a modern, internationally networked industrial company was achieved.

We are a medium-sized company based in beautiful Zittau, located in the border triangle of Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland and thus in the heart of Europe. We manufacture precision turned parts from steel, stainless steel and aluminium on modern single and six-spindle automatic lathes. Our customers are mainly well-known companies in the fluid and hydraulic industry. Here, our products are used as connecting elements for hydraulic lines, which are later installed, for example, in machines, commercial vehicles or construction and agricultural machinery.

Engineering and Consulting

Testing and assembly activities
The company Johnson s.r.o., based in the neighbouring Czech Republic, has been a reliable partner for many years and carries out connection processing. With experienced employees and certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001, they offer services such as the bending of hose nipples using a semi-automatic bending machine, the manual deburring of parts, testing and sorting work as well as the assembly of O-rings, chains and union nuts.
Electroplating
Strong partners from Germany and the Czech Republic finish our turned parts with a wide variety of surface coatings, such as electrogalvanising, burnishing, phosphating and anodising, to meet our customers' corrosion protection and visual requirements.
Hardening and Annealing
If certain requirements are made on the hardness or tensile strength of a component, as well as in preparation for the bending process, heat treatment of the turned parts is necessary. We can also offer this in close cooperation with our long-standing partners.

In what dimensional range can you manufacture parts and from which materials?
We can manufacture parts in a range of dimensions from round 12 to round 65 and from hexagon 17 to hexagon 55. We process various materials such as free-cutting steel, case-hardened steel, tempered steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

What additional operations can you offer in addition to turning?
In addition to turning, we can also offer hardening, annealing, bending, coatings, assembly and testing in cooperation with our reliable partners.

What delivery times can you offer and what quantities can be achieved?
We have a high level of flexibility and can convert our machines within 2 hours. We also have access to a wide range of raw materials, which enables us to deliver within 48 hours, provided no additional work steps such as coating or hardening are required. We can produce quantities of 500 to 10,000 pieces for production on our CNC single-spindle machines. On our multi-spindle machines we are able to produce quantities from 10,000 to 50,000 pieces.
